About

Hello,

I am extremely qualified to support your kardexremstar equipment  please read below.

I’m Woody, an electronics graduate with a solid foundation in electromechanical systems. My career began in incoming quality control, where I worked with specialized equipment and developed test fixtures to ensure component reliability. I transitioned to field service, working on standalone cash register systems and later joined the material handling industry as a forklift repair technician.

I became part of a team supporting all of New England, where resources were limited, and getting repairs right the first time was critical. I further honed my skills with training in hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems, as well as horizontal and vertical carousel storage systems, conveyors, and bridge cranes.

I also developed training programs for equipment not covered by suppliers. One of my significant projects involved engineering a safety system for 30 horizontal carousels across various manufacturers, all within a 60-day deadline. When challenges arose, I led efforts to find solutions independently or as part of a team.

Throughout my career, I’ve worked with multiple material handling systems, including Kardex Remstar, Komatsu VLM, Raymond, Crown, and Modula, along with conveyors and other specialized equipment.

At Remstar, I worked on special projects at chip manufacturers and explosion-proof machinery sites. After Kardex.AG acquired Kardex.US, I trained technicians on installation and oversaw site visits to ensure proper equipment setup. I also tested new or modified equipment before shipment to ensure smooth installations.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I dedicated 48 weeks to installing and repairing specialized equipment for a new blood laboratory in New Jersey. Later, I resolved persistent issues in a machine shop where a five-year-old machine had recurring problems. After troubleshooting, I identified the core issue, and the customer ordered a third machine after my solutions worked.

In 2018, Kardexremstar introduced the LR-35 compact buffer or Kardex mini load in a box. We had four customers with a combined total of 10 units. Four individuals had received training, but three dropped out of the project, leaving me responsible for installing all ten machines with different teams. The machines and training were a resounding success.

When Kardex opened a new factory in South Carolina, I relocated to provide primary quality control and factory service support.
